Event Description
Our team at Kids & Art is extremely excited to have the deYoung Museum in San Francisco host our February workshop. The deYoung is one half of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco set deep in the wilds of Golden Gate Park.
Participants will be encouraged to experience art as both viewer and maker. Our workshop begins with docent-led tours where everyone will be invited to make connections and develop an understanding of art in both creative and historical contexts. In the second half, participants will create with a teaching artist inside the museum studio, where we will be asked to make connections to and explore artistic processes related to the artworks viewed in the galleries.
