A Celebration in the garden
The art gallery from our 15th anniversary event, A Celebration in the Garden, features artwork by young patients and the professional artists who work with them. This special event held on May 6, 2023 in Hillsborough, CA, brought the Kids & Art community together to celebrate 15 years of healing through art and to look toward a future where all children in cancer treatment are uplifted through creativity.

Artist: Rinat Goren is an encaustic artist known for her beeswax collages. Her art explores myriad ways to convey her love for people, her interest in the individual, and the freedoms and boundaries between individuals and groups. Rinat loves expressing her ideas through texture, color and depth using newspaper, images, strings, ropes and other materials in her works. She first started volunteering with Kids & Art as a guest artist in 2015, she has led hospice workshops, curated a needlepoint exhibit, and served on our board.
